The body is dense navy wool felt, firm enough to hold its shape without any interfacing. The flowers on the front are built up in layers: a cut felt petal base, a contrasting centre, then hand embroidery in cotton thread to lock everything down and add the fine detail. Leaves are cut freehand and veined with running stitch, and the two large buttons at the left are felt discs stitched through the body.
No two are alike. The artisan places the flowers by eye as she works, so the colour order, the number of blooms and the exact composition shift from bag to bag. Expect roughly six to eight flowers across the front.
