The print is applied by hand with carved wooden blocks, one impression at a time, before the cloth is cut. Look closely and you will find the registration is never perfect, which is how you tell a block print from a screen print. Mushroom caps, gills, fern fronds and butterflies repeat across the body, the flap and the straps.
Cut as a roomy daypack with padded shoulder straps, a drawstring throat under a buckled flap, and a webbing haul loop. Undyed canvas ground, so the bag lightens gently with sun and wear.
